We would love to welcome you as our guest at the Malachite River Ranch in Gardner Colorado. Malachite, a highly desirable mineral, is abundant on our ranch especially by the Huerfano River that flows through our 350-acres. The Huerfano just below the ranch house is a great place to fish and relax. While on the ranch you will see cows going through the fields and might even meet one coming up the road. As well as herds of elk that grace us with their presence in the dawn and dusk. We hope by summer 2021 to have a lake with private fishing as well on the ranch. The ranch is located on the foot of Little Sheep mountains only 60 miles from the Great Sand Dunes, there are also many mountains and trails to explore in the area. The fun is not only during the day though, at night your breath will be taken away seeing the numerous stars littering the dark sky. Light pollution is non-existent, so you can enjoy seeing far away galaxies and stars. The ranch house has all the modern amenities that you are looking for, in a ranch style house. There are abundant windows to see your beautiful surroundings. If you are looking to experience the wild Coloradan rancher’s life, this is the place for you. You and your guests will be able to make memories for a lifetime here at the Malachite River Ranch.
*** End of August/September 2020 Special *** From now until the end of September, we are still in the process of getting the ranch up and running. You as our first guests get a special opportunity to get the ranch at a discounted rate of $499 instead of the usual $750 a night. The discount is offered because the ranch is not at 100%, but we are working to get it there and will need your input thus the discount. One of the most noticeable things to be aware of is that the showers in the master bathroom is not yet operational as we are re-tiling it, however, the toilet and sink in the master bathroom are fully operational as is everything in the 2nd bath.
This property is cleaned with disinfectant that is effective against coronavirus. Between stays, all towels and bedding are washed in water that’s at least 60°C/140°F. Guests are able to check in and check out without any person-to-person contact.
