1 Bedroom Cabin in Boulder
Relax at this peaceful cabin nestled in the mountains amongst the aspens. It is surrounded by wildlife and the outdoors. Being conveniently located between Boulder and Nederland, you have the feel of being off-grid in the mountains while not being far away from all the attractions of the city. Even though there is no cell service, fast cable Wi-Fi lets you stay connected. Come unplug, unwind, and relax in the mountains!
Boulder is 25 min away, Nederland is 15 min and Eldora ski resort is 20min
The space
The cabin is one big open floor plan. There is a queen bed in the loft above the kitchen. This is an unconventional “bedroom” and is more accurately described as a sleeping loft. You have to be able to climb a ladder to get up into it. (The ladder has to be moved from its storage place on the nearby wall and lifted onto the loft in order to get up to it) The smaller bedroom has twin size bunk beds.
There is a wood burning fireplace for supplemental heat and to create that cozy cabin feel. Wood is provided for your fires.
The serene bathroom features a custom walk-in shower with recycled glass tiles and beautiful Jade shelves mined from the Yukon.
Updated appliances are found in the kitchen, including a dishwasher. Everything you need to cook and entertain is stocked within the cabinets.
Guest access
You will have the entire cabin to yourself. There is a private entrance and your own parking area. While there is another cabin on the property next door, the space feels quiet and peaceful. The outdoors is shared, yet blends with acres of woods and offers plenty of solitude.
Other things to note
Being in the mountains offers a great escape into nature. However, this means a chance of encountering the local wildlife. There are bears, coyotes, foxes, bobcats, owls, elk, deer, moose and mountain lions that call these woods home. While most animals stay unseen, at any time there might be a moose hanging out in the yard. They can be dangerous, please keep your distance! It is recommended to keep your dog on a leash so they don’t get hurt. Please keep food inside and out of your cars so as to not attract any unwelcome visitors.
The cabin is located in a tight valley and there is NO CELL SERVICE. I recommend taking a screenshot of the Wi-Fi password (which you will receive AFTER booking) before heading to the cabin because it works outside as well. The Wi-Fi works great and in order to make phone calls, simply turn on “Wi-Fi calling”.
Please note, this is an old mining cabin. It provides a rustic cabin experience with most appliances updated to today’s conveniences. While it’s predominantly loved and respected for what it is, please be honest with yourself when deciding if this space fits your comfort level:)
