Summary: The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are nice an appear to be recently renovated. New bathrooms, rugs, everything. That’s the good news. The bad news is they are in serious need of a heating technician. The first room was so hot I couldn’t not stay and the thermostat did not work. I notice other rooms were using their AC presumably to lower temps from hot water heat. Next room upstairs had a working thermostat with a sluggish heating system. Secondly the wifi did not work in the upstairs room. They need to fix that…..bring in the techies. That’s a big deal. Hate to give them a 3 but they need to get it together.

Summary: Location in town was good. As it was away from the downtown (noise) but very easily walkable, which we did. We had an upstairs room facing the ‘mountains’. Mini fridge and freezer worked great. Water was hot. Didn’t use the a/c as it was cool out and the second floor window opened and had a screen. New plush carpet in the room, which is odd for any hotel/motel/lodge. Shower and bathroom facilities functioned as designed. The overhead room (LED) light had failed and was only a dim glow. The 24” ceiling fan w/light appeared to be controlled by a remote not present. The beds were not comfortable for us. Springy and bouncy and not in a good way. Didn’t use the microwave. Had to move the coffee maker off the microwave in order to plug it in.
One set of stairs and no elevator (not an issue for us, just information) upper parking lot had a steep and not so steep entrance/exit. I would not suggest a big vehicle parking up there as it is small. Lower parking along the road can fit those vehicles. Housekeeping could have done a wee bit better prepping the room as there was sunflower seed on the bathroom floor and a used hotel bar of soap left in the shower. It was a one night stay for us, passing through onto our next stop.

Summary: Perfect location! Clean lodge nestled in Grand Lake. The front desk was very accommodating for a check in that was not during their typical window due to work commitments. The room was fine for what I needed and the WiFi was reliable. Any accommodations in the area are pricey, but I found this lodge to be nicer than most. Again, very clean but if you like a fluffy pillow, you might want to bring one with you.

Summary: This property is a mixed bag. First, it was VERY clean and the guys at the front desk were pleasant. The location at the top end of the main drag puts it in easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. This is a very basic room, painted off white, no decorations except the shower curtain and a couple of mirrors. The only furniture in the room, other than the beds had three drawers, one of which was falling out of the unit, and room for a smaller TV (the TV in the room was too big to fit inside, so it sat on top). There is no closet, but rather a small shelf set in the corner with a clothes rod, which would have been sufficient for our three night stay, but one of the top anchors had pulled out of the wall, leaving the shelf hanging precariously. Finally, we found the mattresses too soft and aged. My smaller wife found herself pulled into my gravity well, and we both had to stretch out kinks each morning. Assuming the damage in this room is a one-off, I would stay here again at the right price, but I don't know that I'd pay $200 per night again.

Summary: Nice, clean older motel in the heart of Grand Lake. Everything was great except the a/c unit made loud clunking/grinding noises all night long and it was too hot in the 2nd floor room to turn it off so we did not sleep well. We were in room #28 or #29 in the corner.

Summary: For the price it was old and cheap. Door latch was broken so we pulled a chair to block entrance
