The home was specifically designed around a historical mining bunkhouse from the Gold Links Mine in Ohio City, Colorado. When the design/build team identified this centerpiece, it was dismantled piece by piece (down to the nails) and transported back to Crested Butte where it was re-built as the cornerstone of the home. The design philosophy of utilizing all historic materials is an underlying theme that begins with the old bunkhouse and seamlessly extends into the newer additions—blending the old world with the new in a truly artisan format.
Located on arguably one of the best pieces of land in the entire valley, the Tipple House commands the most powerful views of the rocky mountain landscape. With a plethora of glassed walls, generous windows and sweeping outdoor spaces the property brings you to the front row of nature.
