The kitchen is well-appointed with a Viking range for those who love to cook at home, but if not, a handful of restaurants serve hearty and fancy fare in Basalt, a 2 minute drive or a healthy stroll down the mountain. The wrap-around deck provides glorious views, and southwestern exposure means bright sun all day and spectacular sunsets in the eve. The Lodge backs up to the White Mountain National Forest, which is laced with hiking trails, and it is located minutes away from some of the best trout fishing in Colorado, and 20 minutes from the Aspen/Snowmass ski mountains and the Aspen Airport.
