Bayfield is just 7 miles from Redbone Ridge, home to restaurants and a brewery, and only 30 min away from a season winery in Ignacio (Fox Fire Farms) This home offers convenient access to fly fishing ( Lemon Reservoir and Vallecito Reservoir), hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, off road exploration and so much more in the San Juan Mountains. Close enough to Durango (18 mi) to enjoy the Durango Silverton Narrow Gage Railroad as well as a plethora of restaurants, shops and sight seeing.
If you’re visiting during the winter, make sure to bring your skis or snowboard for challenging runs on the beautiful slopes of Purgatory (just 42 miles away), or Wolf Creek Ski Area (1 1/2 hours to the east). Or you can step off the porch with your snowshoes and hike on our property, or access BLM land directly from the house. There’s also plenty of seasonal area adventures on horseback, on raft or kayak, or by foot on hiking trails in Mesa Verde National Park (only an hour away).
The home has a well-stocked kitchen, which features a refrigerator, microwave, oven, gas range, dishwasher, and other supplies. A washer and dryer are available as well. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee on the front porch, overlooking a peaceful meadow. There is a spacious back porch for outdoor dining and even a gas grill if you’d like to barbecue.
