This newly renovated mountain home is stylish, spacious and immensly comfortable. Located in the Missouri Heights area of Carbondale, this three bedroom, one and a half bath home features radiant heated European oak floors, cathedral ceilings and gourmet kitchen. Expansive views of Mount Sopris and the Elk Range are spectacular. Enjoy the central location which is ten minutes to shops (Whole Foods & Carbondale) and restaurants and thirty minutes to skiing and the Aspen airport.
Enjoy Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley from this beautiful home on sixteen acres of irrigated land ~ a lush oasis with spectacular views of Mount Sopris and surrounding landscape yet minutes to hiking, fly fishing, shops and restaurants.
The open floor plan, cathedral ceilings and south facing windows create a light airy space that is the perfect place to unwind, regardless of the season. In the mornings, enjoy coffee in The Nook. The adjacent kitchen features all new Kichenaid appliances including convection oven, microwave and induction stovetop. Enjoy meals at the bar or in the dining room with majestic Sopris views. Relax in the living room by the wood burning stove or enjoy the sound of the sprinklers irrigating alfalfa and its seasonal harvest while kicking back on the patio. The three bedrooms provide a quiet respite to recharge before the next days activities, while two dedicated work spaces help you keep up with the outside world. But don't be surprised if the views out every window quickly draw you back outdoors. If you haven't fallen in love with the Roaring Fork Valley, you likely will after your stay at Sopris Oasis.
Missouri Heights wifi works well but cellular can occasionally be spotty. Taking calls upstairs will solve this problem.
There are three Smart TVs with various streaming services.
During the warmer summer days it is helpful to lower the window shades on the two western windows in the afternoons.
AMENITY LIMITATIONS: • This is a passive solar home and does not have central air conditioning or window coverings. Floor fans and sleep masks are provided. • Some of the windows do not have screens. • Our rural WiFi speeds may be a bit slower than you are used to if you are from a larger city, and the cellular service can be spotty.
Other things to note
• A limited stock of basic guest supplies is provided to start off your stay, including coffee filters, non-dairy creamer, salt, pepper, cooking oil, sugar, food storage wrap, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and laundry detergent. At least one bath towel per guest is also provided.
• The property's alfalfa will be harvested seasonally and may cause noise or air quality issues during this time.
• We have a zero tolerance smoking policy, and guests will be charged accordingly (see House rules).
• We abide strictly by the “Cancellation policy” (including road closures and / or inclement weather) and “House rules” (including “Additional rules”) which can be found at the bottom of the listing. House Rules:
• No smoking is permitted inside the home.
• Pets must be pre approved by Host. Authorized pets will be charged at a rate of $10 per per pet, per night and a $25 per pet cleaning fee. Pets must be crated when left alone. Guests are required to clean up pet waste or will incur an automatic charge of $60.
• Excessive cleaning will be charged at a rate up to $50 an hour. Blood stained linens (including but not limited to bed sheets, mattress pads / protectors, etc.) is an automatic charge of up to $150 per item. Confetti and party decor clean up is an automatic charge of $60. Moving furniture is an automatic charge of $120.
• Violations of Airbnb’s “Ground rules” can jeopardize our short term rental permit, disrupt cleaning and maintenance schedules, cause extra wear and tear and, worst of all, lessen future guest experiences and will be charged as “Extra services” as follows: • unauthorized guests, up to $50 per person, per night; • unauthorized pets, up to $100 per pet, per night; • unapproved early check ins and late check outs, $50 per hour; • late checks outs after 1pm, an additional night’s stay; • parties or events, up to $2,500 with any extra cleaning and damages being charged separately; smoking of any kind, up to $1,000.
