The Space:
Our home offers a romantic and peaceful mountain retreat less than an hour from Denver, 30 minutes from the quaint mountain town of Georgetown, and less than 45 minutes to skiing/boarding. The cabin is ideal for anniversaries and honeymooners, hikers, mountain bikers, rock-climbers, writers, musicians, artists, or anyone looking for a few days of isolation in the mountains.
There’s plenty of outdoor space on the private deck to enjoy your evening meals under the orange and blue Colorado sunsets accompanied by the soothing sounds of the whispering pines. To immerse yourself in nature, trek up to the St. Mary’s glacier trailhead with world-class views of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains.
As you enter this rustic paradise, you are instantly welcomed by the open living area, with a wood-burning stove (please note that you’ll be asked to sign a waiver before booking the property), a large dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen with a walk-in pantry.
On the upper/3rd level you’ll find the primary bedroom with a queen-size bed, a full ensuite bathroom with washer/dryer, as well as the other 2 bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and the 2nd full bathroom.
The lower level will provide access to the heated 1-car garage, the third full bathroom, and a secondary living area that comes equipped with a twin bunk bed and full-size futon for the times when an extra bit of space is needed.
The home has radiant-heated floors, and typically, the evenings in the Colorado mountains are cool and peaceful, so feel free to open the windows to fill the home with a fresh summer breeze filled with pure mountain air.

You’ll experience Idaho Springs' historic charm with the many historic buildings in downtown Idaho Springs. There are plenty of quality restaurants in Idaho Springs, including the popular Tommyknocker Brewery and Beau Jo's Colorado Style Pizza. All are affordable, as are area lodging and unique shopping. MTN Prime is another great eatery and is located next to The GuildedFox. In this treasured store on Miner Street, you can find a variety of mountain goods and decor, as well as 3D layered mandalas handmadeby the owner to ensure a uniquefit for anyone.In townisthe Argo Gold Mine and Mill, where you can see what a working mill looked like and try your hand at gold panning. Mount Evans is adjacent to Idaho Springs to the south. The road to the peak is a 14-mile ascent on the highest paved road in North America, rising to 14,200 feet above sea level. Keep on the lookout, as mountain goats often graze alongside the highway. The summit sits atop the Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway.
