1 Bedroom Cabin in Twin Lakes
Room 2 is our most popular room for couples and the largest double-occupancy room at the Roadhouse Lodge. It has a comfortable queen bed, 1.5 bathrooms (the only room at the lodge with a half bath), a private porch, and your own private exterior entrance. You'll wake up to mountain views, and the lake is right across the street. The room is simple and done well: comfortable furnishings, Wi-Fi, TV, mini fridge, microwave, heating, and basic toiletries, towels, and linens provided. Self check-in with a lockbox lets you come and go on your own schedule. The Roadhouse is the closest lodging to Twin Lakes and the Mt. Elbert trailhead. Gourmet coffee and soft serve are available on-site in season (May to October), and food trucks set up next door in summer. The village has an art gallery and gift shop within walking distance in summer and fall. From here you can kayak or paddleboard on the lake, hike fourteeners, fish the Arkansas, or drive Independence Pass to Aspen in summer. In winter you're close to Ski Cooper, Copper, Monarch, and Vail, and Leadville and Buena Vista are each about 20 to 25 minutes away. Please note: Independence Pass closes roughly December through May depending on weather, so check CDOT for road conditions and expect quiet vibes in spring and winter. Maximum 2 guests. No smoking.
