Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This is a working farm and ranch. You might see cows in the pasture by the house or get to watch the farmer cut and bale hay. This house is within an hour of Mesa Verde National Park, fishing, hiking, river sports, Pagosa Springs hot springs, Purgatory and Wolf Creek ski resorts, Vallecito and Navajo Lakes, and within 5 minutes of the Sky Ute Casino and the Southern Ute museum. The views from this place are amazing.
The space
This is a house that Granny used to live in. So we have kept the authenticity of it with some updated features. The basement is perfect for kids with air hockey, ping pong, and foosball, refrigerator, bathroom, and a 65” tv. There is also bunk beds that sleep 3, a day bed, and a queen futon. Upstairs is a full kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and another 65” tv. It is on a 75 acre farm. We have a large front and back yard with a corn hole game. If you want to leave the property, we are only 25 minutes from downtown Durango, CO where the famous Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge train is. The San Juan Mountains are full of hiking trails, ATV/Jeep trails and fishing creeks. Vallecito Lake offers great fishing and kayaking. Navajo Lake state park is also only about 20 miles down the road. Mesa Verde National park is 45 miles away. The drive there is beautiful. And if you enjoy gambling or bowling, the Sky Ute Casino is only 2 miles away. Lake Nighthorse is a beautiful lake with a man made beach just 37 minutes away. This is perfect for kids to play, swim, and kayak. There is never a dull moment in the summer here—plenty to do for all ages and the beautiful mountains surround us. In the fall the colors in the mountains are breathtaking. Hunting is good here. There are two ski resorts within 60 miles of us—Wolf Creek and Purgatory. Winter is fun if you enjoy skiing, sledding, ice skating and snowmobiling.

Other things to note
If you are coming for a rodeo or pack trip with horses, check with us for a place to put them. We have a pasture, hay and a corral right next to the house for an additional fee.
