This spacious well-laid out 1 bedroom condo has plenty of space for your Crested Butte vacation. Located in the base area of Mt Crested Butte, the Grand Lodge has all the amenities of a typical hotel, including the best pool and hot tub in the area (currently closed due to Covid), fitness center, on-site dining (open seasonally) and on-site spa. The staff at the 24-hour front desk are happy to help you make the most of your Crested Butte vacation. Upon stepping into the condo, you'll find a full bathroom, dining area and kitchen. While the kitchen does not have a stove, it does have a large fridge, 1-burner stovetop, microwave, dishwasher and wet bar. The bedroom sleep 2 comfortably with a king-size bed and another full-size bathroom. The living area includes an additional queen-size Murphy bed that pulls down over the couch. Whether you're visiting to mountain bike, hike or just enjoy the beautiful downtown, this Grand Lodge condo is the perfect setup for your Crested Butte vacation.

Summary: My husband and I stayed at the Grand Lodge, with our dog, over the Christmas holiday. The location was perfect - right at the base of the mountain, and right next to the transit center, for quick access to the town shuttle. The outside pool and hot tub, albeit busy, were great for soaking after a day on the slopes. We stayed on the first floor, close to an outside exit - so it was great for having the dog with us. Our only complaints were that it took about 10 minutes for the hot water to heat up in the shower, and the kitchen amenities were pretty lacking. I assume most people who stay at this lodge aren't cooking much, but we try to cook the majority of our meals (especially breakfast). I highly recommend bringing your own pots and pans (and a cutting board) if you plan to cook in your unit...having the single burner was great, but there weren't any pans/skillets, just two pots, which weren't great for cooking much other than boiling water!
