The Space:
This delightful farmhouse sits on 5 acres and offers the added visual charm of a horse barn just a few yards from the house. The house is embraced by the towering native evergreens that are so characteristic of this area of Colorado Springs, known as Black Forest.
As you approach down the driveway, you’ll notice the sharply pitched roof of the home and the wide second-story deck, conveying a classic “mountain house” feel.
Park and approach the house by way of a wide stone path, then take two modest steps up to a huge deck that wraps around two sides of the house. What an amazing space for entertaining! An “outdoor living room” tastefully furnished with a sofa and two easy chairs is tucked into a covered shelter, open on two sides and made festive with a string of party lights. A few steps away, an outdoor dining table for four with an umbrella provides a lovely open-air place to enjoy meals cooked on the grill.
As you step inside the front door, you’ll notice a quiet, elegant living room to your right, and an open-concept living space straight ahead with a mountain-tall ceiling with wooden beams that creates an airy, inviting feeling.
But first, let yourself be lured into the separate living room off to the side by the impressive, cobalt-blue, 3-seater Chesterfield sofa with a built-in chaise. You’ll want to curl into it and luxuriate at first sight! This room is lit by a lovely bay window overlooking the barn, and includes two comfortable conversation chairs and a ceiling fan. This is a whimsical yet civilized space for sharing a glass of wine and reminiscing about old times.
Back out in the open area, you’ll encounter a wide wooden dining table surrounded by 8 chairs that just begs for indulgent, unhurried family meals. From here, you have an unobstructed view into the kitchen on one side, and a straight view into the rear seating area.
The rear seating area includes a sumptuous L-shaped sofa covered in snuggly throw pillows, plus an upholstered corner chair. They face a large TV mounted above the fireplace. The space is lit by a set of double doors with glass panels that open onto the outdoor deck. A striking staircase gives the room a touch of glamor.
The kitchen includes an island that doubles as a breakfast bar with bench seating for two, and with a cooktop and over built in. You’ll enjoy preparing meals in this attractive kitchen with up-to-the-minute fixtures and finishes, including marble countertops and a double sink. You’ll be served by a full-size, stainless-steel refrigerator/freezer with an in-door ice dispenser, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, fully stocked spice rack, a set of chef’s knives, and a selection of specialty cooking utensils.
Behind the kitchen, you’ll find a large bathroom with upscale fixtures which includes a shower/tub combo and a full-size washer and dryer.
The bedrooms in this home have been appointed for a restful stay with simple, comfortable furnishings.
The largest bedroom includes an “en suite” private bath with a shower, as well as a queen-size bed, ceiling fan, and a massive armoire for clothing storage. This is a sunny corner bedroom with windows on two walls, but with privacy curtains if needed.
Let’s take that grand staircase up to the second floor! At the top, you’ll find a fun living room/play area with a 3-seater sofa (that folds out to a queen bed), 2 comfy chairs, a ceiling fan, and a mini-foosball table! A peek over an iron safety railing will give you a striking view of the open concept living area below. A door leads out to the large second-story deck with its two lounge chairs with its “treehouse” feel floating among the Colorado pines.
Just off of this upper-story living room, you’ll find yet another bright corner bedroom with windows on two walls, furnished with a double bed and ceiling fan, and including a large closet.

🏠 Guests will have access to the entire home. The horse stables are not available.
🚗 Parking
Guests can park up to 3 cars on the driveway. Please, no parking on the backyard grass area because that’s the septic system and leach field that would get destroyed. There is room for a trailer or smaller RV but no hookups.
🕓 Early Check-in Requests
We cannot guarantee an early check-in before 4pm as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please message us on the day of your arrival to see if the property is ready no earlier than 2pm.
