Casa con Vistas is located just 20 miles West of Durango, CO. It is centrally located between the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, Mesa Verde National Park, Chaco Culture National Park and plenty of hiking and biking trails. It is also in close proximately to Purgatory ski area, Wolf Creek ski area and Telluride ski area. Enjoy rafting down the Animas River, horseback riding or snow sleigh rides and much more, all within less then half a day driving distance.
As you enter Casa con Vistas, you will walk into the front room which has three large windows looking to the South that looks across the private 35 acres. The property is covered in sage brush, scrub oak and pinon trees. This property can be used for hiking in the Summer time or snowshoeing (if enough snow) for the winter months. The front room also has a large Executive desk to do personal business or work from home and away from COVID. 25 mbps. Wi-Fi is provided.
The front room then continues into the living room which also has three large windows looking to the North. The view through these windows looks to the La Plata Mountains which have peaks as tall as 13,000'. The living room has an L-shaped sectional couch with ottoman and recliner, both of which face a 70" smart TV. The smart TV has many over-the-air and on-line channels for your viewing pleasure including ROKU. Below the TV is a cabinet with an electric fireplace to help take the evening or morning chill out.
The living room is open to a large gourmet kitchen. The kitchen has all your needs for cooking to include: electric stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, French door refrigerator, island with sink and two bar stools. There is also a larger dinning room table for eating a more formal meal within the kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of cookware, stainless steel pots and pans, utensils, and spices. There is also a Ninja blender, large Kitchen Aide mixer and a Keurig coffee maker.
The bedroom is well furnished with a California King bed, dresser drawers and an armoire for hanging clothes. There is an electric fireplace above the head board to help take out the morning or evening chill.
The bathroom consist of a vanity with double sinks, toilet and a glass, walk-in double headed rainfall shower. This large shower has plenty of room for two and features a bench seat.
The kitchen and the bedroom both have French doors that open onto the wrap-around deck. The deck area looks to the West and the South and offers some of the most magnificent sunsets. There is a round iron table with four chairs, propane barbeque grill and smoker, and a large six person hot tub which is floor level with the deck. The hot tub has plenty of jets and lights. There is also a Bluetooth speaker to hook up your device for your favorite music.
The living space within the house is 1500 sq. ft. with plenty of windows for 360 degree viewing. The house sets on a hill and offers breathtaking views.
The downstairs basement is occupied by a caretaker who helps around the property. He has his own entrance and no spaces are shared with him and guests. The only time you might cross paths with him is at the entrance sidewalk which leads to both entrances.
