Our Adventure Basecamp Cabin is your perfect woodsy get-away! Simple living in a wooded setting - feels far away, yet you are still close to it all. Special things include the private deck with fenced area for your small dog (25 lbs or less), wood stove, and your proximity to lakes and hiking. Cozy outdoor patio with seating, small table, and a propane grill.
The Forest Lakes area is 8 miles North of Bayfield, and 8 miles South of Lake Vallecito Recreation Area. Forest Lakes also has a playground and neighborhood lake for fishing - Lake Simpatico - with a walking trail around the lake. This home is appx 20 miles from downtown Durango and 50 miles from Pagosa Springs. There is plenty of dining, unique shops, and outdoor recreation in the surrounding area - including hiking, boating, skiing, fishing, snowmobiling, biking, hunting, hot springs, rafting and more.

The cabin has a kitchenette with full size fridge, 2 stovetop burners, large toaster oven, full bathroom, washer/dryer, private deck and cozy feel. The only TV in this cabin is located in the bedroom. It is a Smart TV only - you can log into your own streaming TV service apps like Netflix or Hulu. We do have board games. It would be okay to bring a baby or toddler here if you bring a pack-n-play for sleeping.
During the winter months (Thanksgiving to March) access to the home requires 4WD or AWD.
NOTE: This cabin is on the same property as our Ascent A-Frame rental cabin. Each cabin has a private deck without view of the other. There is cell service and wifi at the cabin, but you will not have cell service on the road leading up to the cabin from the highway.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
