Welcome to our Cabin on the Ridge embedded in the beautiful Colorado mountains of Park County. This is an owner operated 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom single family home, that sits on a ridge with spectacular views. It is our little paradise away from home. It is cozy, bright, warm, and inviting.
The cabin on the ridge is in Warm Springs a gated covenant-controlled community that provides additional security. We are just a short drive (45 minutes) to Breckenridge, Buena Vista, and Frisco. You are in the mountains, yet you are close to all the shopping and other activities like skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, golfing, hiking, biking, fishing and 4 wheeling. Fairplay is considered the fishing capital of Colorado; there is trout galore for the avid fisherman in you. You can just hop over to the many ponds and river in town.
Amenities: The house has a beautiful covered front porch and a gorgeous deck on 3 sides of the cabin. It has a private driveway and is nestled behind some aspens. Sitting on the ridge at 10,000’ the cabin has panoramic views of several snowcapped 14,000 ft. mountains. Our back deck on the Southeast ide overlooks Mt. Bierstadt (14,065’) and Mt. Evans (14,265’) and on the south side the cabin over looks Mt. Quandary (14,265’), Mt. Lincoln (14,291’), and further out Mt. Bross (14,172’) and Mt. Sherman (14,043’).
Our Cabin has an open living come dining area with a cute kitchen that is fully equipped with all the amenities. The kitchen has a large refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, pots, pans, utensils, and dishes. You can plan a quiet romantic dinner for two or feed the whole family in the comfort of our home. We also have furnished you with a washer and dryer for your convenience during your stay. The bathroom has extra linens, toiletries, hair dryer, straightener and much more!
One bedroom has a queen size bed, and the other has two full size beds in the form of bunk beds. We have soft blankets that you can use to sit out in the porch/deck or use at night for your comfort. We can accommodate 4 people as stated by the county.
We also have a state-of-the-art green house. You are welcome to pick and enjoy the organic fresh vegetables and herbs that are grown during the spring, summer and fall months.
Entertainment: For your entertainment we have a Smart TV, Blue Ray/DVD player, Netflix, and a varied collection of movies. We have a private Wi-Fi network with internet access. We also have books, games, and puzzles for your enjoyment. The night sky is filled with stars with no artificial light to dim its beauty. If you continue watching, you can see satellites passing and wish upon a shooting star. Sometimes you may also have the pleasure of the company of a deer, moose, or elk passing by enjoying the peace and quiet.
