Hesperus Mountain Chalet is our fully updated 3-bedroom / 3-bathroom mountain home on 4 acres of land - it is the perfect luxury escape for your next trip to Colorado! Get away from it all but still be close enough to town to enjoy everything Durango has to offer. Inquire about monthly discounts!
During your stay, relax in front of one of the three fireplaces in our home (2 wood burning, 1 electric), soak up the natural light in the sunroom, cook an amazing meal for everyone to enjoy in our fully functional kitchen with gas stove, or enjoy the sounds and beauty of nature. Thoughtful additions in the home include two workspaces, a towel warmer in the main En suite bathroom, and a wine cooler in the kitchen. There are two main TV watching locations - in the living room and in the sunroom.

AREA: Our home is 5 minutes to Kennebec Cafe, 5 minutes to Hesperus Ski Area, 15 minutes to historic downtown Durango, 20 minutes to Lake Nighthorse, 30 minutes to Mesa Verde National Park, 50 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort. You can access the mountains to the north via LaPlata Canyon Road just a short drive away (turn in at Kennebec Cafe).
PETS: Dogs are considered for this home (1 small dog max), and the pet fee is $40/day (Max $250). Please note the property is NOT fenced and is near a road. Pets must be crated if they are left home alone.
COOLING: This home has a mini-split AC cooling system in the living room and in the sunroom. There is also a portable evaporative cooler to assist in cooling the home during heat events.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
