Cortez Hill is genuinely incredible. It sits at the top of a hill that only spans about 2 blocks, lending itself to spectacular views, a clean and safe neighborhood, and a quick route to visit other areas in the city.
The immediate 2 blocks are also super convenient. There's an amazing coffee shop, Achilles, a dry cleaning place, a yoga studio (Thursday walk-ins right now for $5 at 9 am), and a quickie mart that has all sorts of "oops, I forgot" travel items, beverages, wine/beer, frozen food, some produce, and small snacks.
Beyond the 2 blocks, We are SO CLOSE to all the action while not being immersed in it directly.

- There are rentable bikes and scooters EVERYWHERE in popular San Diego areas now - via the app called LIME Bikes, Ofo, Bird. You can ride them and leave them anywhere. Lots of tourists and locals are using them - they just arrived!
