You'll also find the Animas Mountain Trailhead two blocks north, the scenic shores of Vallecito Lake 20 miles east, and the winter slopes of Purgatory Resort only 25 miles north.
Built in 2014, this 1,500-square-foot home is bright, polished, and immaculately decorated - the perfect destination for two couples or a family in search of outdoor activity and a charming western community.
With hardwood floors, an open layout, and soft leather furnishings, the central living space is bright and comfortable. Grab a book from the shelves and recline in a seat by the window, or choose a DVD favorite to watch with your friends on the large flatscreen cable TV.

Whether you're preparing full family dinners or bringing home fresh fish tacos from Zia Taqueria, you'll have a dining table for six, bar counter seating for two, and a dishwasher to take care of the clean-up.

The spacious primary suite has a four-poster queen bed, a twin bed perfect for a small child, and an en suite full bathroom with double vanities and a closed-off water closet. The guest room has a queen-size bed and a full bathroom.
Back downstairs, there's a day bed in the living room that converts into an extra-long twin bed, as well as a half-bath off of the kitchen. You'll also have WiFi, garage parking for one vehicle, and a private washer/dryer for any dusty hiking clothes.
Known for its laid-back western charm, Durango is a wonderful destination for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and history lovers in all seasons. Spend a scenic day on Vallecito Lake fishing and boating in the summer and ice fishing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing in the winter. You could also head north through the San Juan Mountains to reach Purgatory, which offers 1,360 skiable acres and five terrain parks for riders of all skill levels. And if you want to take a fascinating trip back in time, wander through the Anasazi cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde National Park just 38 miles west.
